WHAT TO EXPECT

RELEVANT, TOPICAL/BIBLICAL MESSAGES

Here at Wayne Church, we want to discuss the relevant topics that concern us most. We want to ask tough questions, allowing the word of God to inform the way we live our lives in a continually transformative and applicable way. We’ve covered a variety of topics ranging from the meaning of success, to grappling with being overwhelmed, to living your passion, to weathering life’s storms, and discovering the heart of Jesus. Join us for worship on a Sunday to hear how God has a good plan for your life in the midst of whatever difficulties you may be facing!

BLENDED WORSHIP

Our 10:30 in-person service represents a blend of contemporary and traditional elements of worship. We worship through song, the reading of Scripture, and prayer. We celebrate holy communion on the first Sunday of every month. You do not need to be a member of our church to approach Christ’s table. We extend an open invitation to all believers and followers of Jesus.

SERVING/CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY/COMMUNITY SERVICE

Love and Serve through Christ

We want our church to be an active presence in our community, serving others in a purposeful and meaningful way. Therefore, much of our worship is oriented toward considering how we may tangibly and regularly serve others—and in this way, naturally grow more closely knit together as a church family. We have a number of ways in which our members (and non-members) can help us serve. To read about our various avenues of community service, including our food pantry, work with the Radnor Township Civic Association, homeless ministry, and more, click here to visit the Our Community page under the Act/Serve section.

MUSIC

God speaks to us through many avenues of worship. Music can open our hearts and our minds to meditation and prayer, re-tell Bible stories, inspire us in positive ways, and offers a universal language to communicate about God across cultures. The music ministry program at Wayne Church seeks to enrich and deepen our worship experience through a wide variety of musical styles and outlets. Our choirs and musical groups are open to all guests and congregation members. We are always happy to welcome new participants. Whether you choose to be in one of our musical groups or sing as one of the congregation, let’s make a joyful noise to the Lord! We also seek to serve our community by hosting free concerts and professional performances, ranging from orchestral performances to special guest performers. To know more, visit our Music page.

CHILDREN ARE WELCOME

Wayne Church is a place where we seek to engage children in worship, teaching, and all other aspects of community life. During both services, our children experience safe, age-appropriate classroom environments where the Bible is taught in a creative, relevant way. We provide many opportunities for children to participate in worship, including our weekly children’s message (during the service) and our Wesley and Cherub choirs. For more details about age groups and Children’s Education, please visit our Children’s Ministry or Sunday School.

DRESS CODE

Our church does not have an official or formal dress code! Please come as you are and feel most welcome. Typically our 9:15 service tends to be more casual than our 10:30 service, but jeans are certainly not frowned upon at our church!
