Welcome and Worship

Located in the heart of Wayne, Pennsylvania since 1890, ours is a congregation that can bear witness to the marvelous faithfulness of God through the many changing circumstances of life, and today we are increasingly on the move in mission for Jesus Christ.

At the heart of the message lived and preached here is the astonishing and life-changing grace of God, poured out in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, and intended to put us back into right relationship with God and with those around us. No matter who we are, or what the past has been, there is hope! For "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8). Therefore, there is a place for us within the kingdom of God - and a place for you here at Wayne UMC.

As part of the United Methodist Church, we embrace the essentials of historic Christian teaching, as outlined
in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, and trace our history back to the work of John Wesley (1703-1791). A passionate evangelist, Wesley emphasized the grace of God that is at work in us even before we know or care, and always seeking to draw us back home to the God who made us, and has never given up on us.

We invite you to become a part of our community. Our Sunday service is at 10:30 AM, and has a mix of traditional and informal elements. We lay stress on biblical preaching, powerful music, and opportunities for learning and service throughout the week, to the end that all might come to experience and grow in God's grace. We also are committed to mission, supporting a number of missionaries and other outreach efforts, and sending out several mission teams each year to serve around the country.

Please enjoy your tour of our website, and feel free to contact me or any member of our staff to learn more!

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Joe DiPaolo
